St Lawrence Motel

This was a 2 bedroom unit that was supposed to have an additional sofa bed. That sofa bed was in the kitchen, and when it was opened it blocked the only exit from the unit. We chose not to use it at all. It was very old and the mattress was very thin. Overall, the unit was very nice and appeared to have been recently remodeled...which made us wonder why we were killing 15-20 roaches each day. We did let the gentleman at the front desk know. He told us that the bugs 'did not bite', and did nothing. We also had issues with several wall outlets not working. If the A/C was on, and too many lights were on, the lights would start doing a strobe flickering. We kept the lights to a minimum because we did not want an electrical fire. The kitchen was well equipped with a new stove, but we chose not to do any cooking there because of the roaches. The location of the motel was convenient, and a nice walking path to the beach was just across the street. But...I would never stay here again due to the roach problem they obviously have. We stayed for 3 nights and killed roaches every day.

Great staff conveniently located. Beautiful beaches. I am coming back next year!

We enjoyed our stay at the St Lawrence Motel, despite some disappointments. The location is within the national park and a very short drive from several attractive beaches and the town of North Rustico, which has a well-stocked grocery store and hardware store in addition to restaurants, book and souvenir shops, and a theatre. While we appreciated the convenience of the location and the exceptional attentiveness of the staff, the images shown on the booking site depict a renovated spacious kitchen that differs substantially from the suite we received. The room’s comfort would be much increased by providing the standard amenities of a simple coffee machine and supplies and a an iron and ironing board. The heated pool is a strong asset, although there are only two lounge chairs and two tables, which were already occupied by parents supervising their children each time we visited the pool during our two night stay.

We had a wonderful 5 night stay in a 2 bedroom suite. The location is quiet, with ample outdoor space. The pool is clean and heated, the hotel had no vacancy and the pool was never busy! We would recommend adding storage/shelving throughout. There are no cupboards or shelves in the kitchen area. There is also only a single outlet in each bedroom which is challenging when you have multiple people with devices to charge. It was in an excellent location, minutes away to walk to North Rustico Beach. We will be back next year!

What an absolutely lovely place to stay on our East Coast Road Trip. Clean, quiet, safe for little kids to run around, salt water pool, swing sets, personal BBQ, picnic table, ... 7A/B accomodated our 9 person family. Couldn't have asked for a better PEI accommodation. Thank you to the polite and gracious owners.

Stayedat St. Lawrence for eight days , August 2025. Peter was lovely to deal with originally we could not get as long a stayas we wanted and in the end we managed to extend our stay. Peter and staff were always available to accommodate any request we had. The location is very walkable to the local beach 3/4 of kilometre or anywhere along the beach that whole part of the national park has a trail that is great for walking biking running. If you didn’t want to go to the beach or see many of the other attractions around you could always stay And swim in the pool or swing on the swings. The playground area was lacking beyond that. The pool needs some attention to the ladder and other railing. Pool very clean otherwise. The accommodations themselves were good. The bathroom had been recently renovated. The kitchen had everything that you would need on a vacation stay. The unit had a couch and small table and chairs and the TV. The bedroom was tiny for a double bed, but it wasn’t an issue. The bed was softer than I would’ve liked, but that is personal choice. The only other comment I would make is that they were installing a metal roof while we were there and they started early early and it would’ve been nice to have had a heads up that there would be banging overhead. We just happened to be on our first day there and so we want we wanted to sleep in. We would definitely stay again.
