Hotel Posada del Centro

Beautiful hotel, the building and garden and sitting areas upstairs and down and my room. Located very close to Zocalo.

The drain in bathroom smelt

Lovely spot. I have stayed here many times.

The wifi could be better, especially in the back areas of the property. Perhaps a signal booster in the back for the rooms far away from the desk. I have stayed here many times and the price has increased a huge amount in the past couple of years. I expect it to go up a bit, but this time was over 3x what I paid the previous times.

Great central location and lovely communal terrace areas.

Bathroom was very dated with no space to leave toiletries and past it towels. We were not told that we needed to leave our key at reception in order to have our room cleaned which meant we went a couple of days without our bathroom bin being changed - far from ideal when you can’t flush toilet paper down the loo!

Hotel needs freshen up with the rooms. Some renovation required to bring up the standard. Lights not working, King bed was 2 singles put together.

Hotel is close to main square. Staff is friendly and flexible.

The property was very well located near the Zacola. It was charming, although a little “rustic”. The staff were amazing! SO thoughtful and kind - especially Raul.There are many stairs/steps, even in the rooms themselves. My room had a high step into the bathroom. I loved the Coffee shop/cafe attached to the hotel!

It was rather simple for the amount of money paid. The Booking.com site said there was airport transportation. There was not. And it said the hotel could arrange tours, which it hasn’t done for over a year.

The staff that works at the Posada del Centro is exceptional. They are kind, friendly, helpful, and very caring. I broke my femur in Oaxaca, and all of the staff helped in every way to make my stay comfortable. They went way beyond their job titles to take care of me. We also loved the coffee cafe next to the hotel. It has great food and delicious coffee.
