Providence Park

The location suited our needs and the cabin was quite spacious which also suited us. The cooking facilities were adequateand the bed comfortable.

Having one side of the double bed jammed against the wall was less than ideal and the very poor quality of the access road and all internal roads was disappointing.

The pictures of the cabin posted were not what we encountered. To be charged $284 for the night was definitely overpriced for such basic accommodation. We asked for another cabin & were told they were fully booked. Funny we only saw one other car. We were so disappointed that we gave the key back & looked for other accommodation. I don’t believe the reviews were truthful.

The only saving grace was location

Not clean. Very poor value for money. Asked first two bedrooms got four beds in one room as a studio Furnishings very poor Facilities hopeless Internet not working despite paying extra

Location reasonable. Staff friendly. Water hot. Failed toaster replaced promptly when requested.

Furniture old & badly worn. Cabin shown on advertising was not the cabin rented. Health hazard with drainage water bubbling back up into the shower well. Water slow to drain away. Reported on departure. Very noisy water supply and/or drainage pump. No electric blanket on the double bed, advertised as elect blankets on ALL beds. Cabin well past its best. BBQ unit dirty & unkept. No fire pit, was advertised as available. Broken/failed bread toaster. Some lights in building not working or with fluro tubes missing.

Quiet and peaceful, but perhaps because it was off season. That I was able to smoke on the verandah! Friendly staff. Aircon, black out curtains, nice view.

No restaurant or shop available (as it was “out of season”,) but no big deal as just bring own food and all facilities are in cabin.

The hosts were quite flexible in that all the snow was rapidly disappearing at Selwyn, and they refunded 2 nights of our accommodation. Selwyn closed the next day, but were able to book accommodation at Perisher, rather than driving back and forth every day.
