Nice little place to stay in the area! Very unique!

We loved it!

The property is well maintained and cozy. I wish they had a traditional door on the bathroom and not the sliding barn door.

Room 5 was spacious with a great view from the balcony. Unfortunately the sauna housed a homeless person due to a broken lock. The sauna was also littered with leaves and paper. Didn’t seem to get real hot. The lock on our room also stopped working. We contacted the owners but nothing was done. Our room was left unlocked while we went out to explore. Disappointing!

Unique, historic property!

The location is perfect! We were lucky to get beautiful weather in March and we were able to walk to so many places in canal park! Unfortunately one of the mornings we had a homeless person in the sauna due to the lock not working. One of the main reasons for booking here was the Sauna. It was less than desirable with leaves and papers littered throughout. It didn’t seem to get real hot. Hard to get a sweat going! On our 2nd day we discovered the lock on our room not working. We could lock from the inside while occupying but when we left we couldn’t lock it. We contacted the operators, they said they would come check it out. As of check out this morning we have yet to hear from them nor was the lock fixed. Disappointing!

This was such a cute quaint little room for a solo traveler. I loved it! I will be back! And it is right on the lake!

Its an ok stay, however the smell inside the building and room is the smell of old, or musty smell. The stairway and hall is cluttered like I would expect in motel, or old apartment building. If I was just needing a place to stay for the night by myself, I'd maybe book again. However for a weekend get away, for the price, I would likely look elsewhere.

Loved top floor spacious room with king bed. Right on Lake Superior. Loved the many windows with views. Easy walk to everything you may want. Once we parked our car at the Inn we never had to use it again until we left! Want to return! Lots of room in kitchen & bathroom.

One of the best places in Duluth to stay! Historic, lake access, and simplicity. We will always stay here from now on. The room was clean, access was easy, and we enjoyed the free beer coupons. Allowing our pups to stay was a major added bonus! Thank you!
