Rinn Machiya Kuon

Location was great. It was clean and presentable. Washing machine was a bonus.

It was a bit tight for a family of 4. Beds were Japanese style (which I didn’t realise when booking). Quite noisy from neighbours. Quite pricey for the size.

Great location, it was quiet and had lots of storage space. Good size for a family of 4. There were plenty of useful amenities, and the coffee machine was a brilliant touch! The room absolutely felt more traditional than the usual type of hotel.

It would have been good to have soap in each of the toilets, and there was a pink ring around the plug in the main sink. Not a big deal, but not sparkling clean. The table was fine, but there wasn't a nice comfy area to relax after big days of walking.

The location was wonderful, just around the corner from some great restaurants and an 8 minute walk from Kyoto Station. The place itself was beautiful with nice size rooms.

The noise from every single neighbor we shared walls with was terrible. Loud stomping, snoring, conversations, and more. We could hear every single thing. The two twin beds were not comfortable, either. For adults who don't find it easy to sleep on the mats on the floor in the other room, twin beds aren't the best option, either. The place itself provided some mugs, glasses, and silverware. However, there was no way to properly clean and reuse them (no dish soap, sponge, kitchen sink) and when room service was completed, all the dirty dishes were still on the table. While a pretty place, we would not stay here again due to the noise of neighbors and uncomfortable beds.

Everything was clean and tidy. It is considered spacious for a Japanese accommodation, able to fit 3 mid size luggage and 2 small luggage. The location is very near to Kyoto station and bus stops too. The facilities are great too; washing machine, bath tub, hairdryer, cutleries, microwave… They even provide free leg cooling patch after so much walking!

Unfortunately we got the room beside the road, so it can be a little noisy at night as we can hear people talking or car driving pass.

I like the bathroom

The washer/dryer doesn't fully dry our clothes when it finish the full cycle. Not sure if it's the design or I don't know how to use it. Other than that everything is great.
