"Awful.Avoid."

Left before breakfast after a cold night with no heating, unable to stop draughty windows and very noisy disturbance from major road very nearby- so nothing.

As above,room hadn’t been checked, we hadn’t been given a Tv remote, washbasin grimy, teaspoons sticky. Corridors grubby, paintwork scratched and chipped. Room cold and no heating, solo member of staff left at 8 and if we hadn’t asked about eg access and TV, wouldn’t have been able to get back in to the accommodation at all- or watch TV after bar closed. No ales in bar.Advice as to where to eat wrong( one suggestion closed) or - well, ‘ sister pub’ - awful.

"A pleasant stay, convenient for Stamford and Burghley."

The breakfast was pretty good, though there were no cereals available, nor fruit, yogurt, prunes etc. The room was quite spacious and comfortable, the duvet was rather hot, but there was a comfortable armchair in the room too. Very pretty village, nice stone buildings.

No hot water! Which was a shame because the bathroom had a nice big bath! There was some traffic noise but not too intrusive.
