The Royal Bliss Barbados

A haven. Great location, clean and renovated rooms, but the real magic is sunsets with Karen and Andre and all the other great guests they seem to attract. They are helpful, funny, and make sure you enjoy your stay in Barbados as much as at their great hotel. Highly recommend.

In my opinion, it's the people that make a place. Karen and Andre, the owners were amazing - friendly, warm, resourceful. They treated guests as though they were family, spending time sharing and relaxing with us. The property itself was relatively new, tastefully decorated and offered all the amenities one could desire. While the location on the beach was perfect, showcasing awesome sunsets, if quiet and peaceful is what you are after, this may not be it. The hotel is sandwiched between two very active restaurants, where the evening entertainment may go from 7pm until just after 10pm. It's not unbearable, but if you're an early-to-bed person, you may find it so. I loved the proximity to shops, restaurants, local buses and the nightlife in St. Lawrence Gap is just a 10min walk. Karen & Andre's Royal Bliss is indeed bliss!

Nestled on a beautiful beach, this boutique hotel has all the home from home amenities you need for a peaceful holiday in Barbados. Top quality modern decor, furniture, and kitchen appliances made our stay worthwhile. We had one of the upstairs rooms overlooking the beautiful beach with 2 immaculately cleaned balconies. There is a beach bar/restaurant on both side of the hotel so drinks and food available close by. There is a supermarket and a bank just up the road and there are bus stops right by the main road to take you either towards Bridgetown and the other way towards Oistins. St Lawrence gap is not far from the hotel. Apart from the beach the other best thing about the hotel is the owners. Karen and Andre are extremely welcoming, helpful and kind to all guests and go out of their way to make sure all guests are comfortable and have what we need for the best holiday. I would definitely recommend this hotel to others planning to visit Barbados.

This property was amazing. very Clean, everything you need in the apartments as well as clean beach towels everyday, free sun beds on the beach area which was exclusive to guests. Access to communal area on whole front of property overlooking the beach where you could watch the sunsets and bring your own drinks. Also a beautiful Communal lounge with a huge tv. The owners Andre and Karen are wonderful hosts who look after their guests and are so welcoming and accommodating to ensure your stay is relaxing and stress free. I can't recommend the Royal Bliss enough. It is very classy but also very informal in a good way to make a stress free experience. The communal area and the hosts enable guests to make friends so everyone is comfortable around each other. Easy walking distance to shops/bars/restaurants. I'd give this property more than 10 out of 10 if it were possible.

We had a great time at Andre and Karen’s property! The space was well kept and comfortable! The beach out front with beach chairs under the palm trees was perfect to watch sunset or enjoy a day in the water. The Carib Bar next door was a nice option to grab food and the grocery store was just down the block. St. Lawrence gap was a quick walk away, we felt very safe walking around and on the island in general. Our hosts were so kind and you can tell they really care about their guests’ experience. We would definitely recommend this property and plan to go back in the future!!

We enjoyed a truly unique 2 weeks at the Royal Bliss being hosted by Karen and Andre. It’s very hard to describe just how special the piece of heaven that they have created is but as a couple they are at central to that magic. It was our first trip to Barbados and we are not fans of large all inclusive resorts so wanted something more intimate. The location literally on the beach with a bar/restaurant on both sides is fantastic. The style and cleanliness of the hotel along with complimentary towels and loungers were great. It was coming downstairs each day to be greeted by Karen and Andre’s hospitality that made this extra special and created a community within the hotel of guests socialising and connecting in a way I’ve not seen before. They arranged taxi tours, airport transfers, meal reservations and even a kettle- outstanding service. It has left a huge imprint on us and we can’t wait to go back.

The property has a fantastic location, overlooking the beach. Sun loungers and towels are available for guests. There are bars and supermarkets within walking distance. St Lawrence gap is a 15 minute walk. Good bus links. The property provided all we needed to self cater. The bed was very comfortable & it was lovely to have good quality Egyptian cotton bedding and towels. The decor was very tasteful. The best thing about the Royal Bliss is the owners, Karen & Andre. They are always available for a chat, to answer questions or offer advice, nothing is too much trouble for them. We look forward to returning in the future.
