Agroturismo Malbuger Nou - Adults only

Agroturismo Albuger Nou was a perfect haven. We received a warm welcome on arrival and lots of suggestions for restaurants and things to do in the area. Our room was lovely. The gardens are truly delightful. The walk to the main building and car parking was a sensory delight - the smell of the lavender, bumble bees buzzing, colourful butterflies, and all the while keeping an eye out for a tortoise or a hoopoe.

Penelope and Pepe were so very gracious and helpful with planning our excursions. Breakfasts were amazing both in presentation and variety. Rooms impeccable. Many extras such as beach umbrellas and picnic backpacks for day visits to beaches.

This hotel was such a serene and tranquil escape for our week in menorca. The room was very clean and the pool area beautiful. The ground and surroundings were really well kept. Breakfast was a great escape with an ever changing menu. The staff really make this hotel, all the suggestions for day trips were really helpful. You can hire bikes for 5 euros a day and even be rescued when you can’t cycle anymore (thank you Pepe for collecting the bikes when we couldn’t get back).

So whilst we loved our stay there were a couple of things that we would have liked/considered when booking. 1. Coffee! We thought given the sustainability factor that we could just pop down in a morning to grab a free coffee for the room prior to breakfast. Whilst you can it’s costs you! 2.50 euros per cup! Breakfast starts at 8.30 which wouldn’t normally be an issue but we do like a cup of coffee when we wake up - we were waking up around 6.30 due to the brightness in the room. Normally we would expect either free coffee or coffee making facilities in the room. 2. There are no umbrellas around the pool, whilst there is 2 shady areas it’s just something to consider as we’re quite fair. 3. Air con - as it’s a sustainable hotel, the air con quality was not as cold as we would have had it and we were very hot at night. Equally the main hotel isn’t air conned! 4. No Fridge in the room - I can see from many reviews this has been commented on, even a communal fridge would have helped keep water/wine cold which was an annoyance at times.
