Lovely location.

Sofa was not comfortable at all. Could feel the spring. Beds also uncomfortable

It was well suited to what we needed. It was well decorated, clean and well equipped.

The beds were very soft

We loved the ambience within the lodge. It was cosy, beautifully decorated and the location was good.

We understand that it's situation is within nature but our first impression was that it hadn't been maintained particularly well outside. Windows were dirty , lots of leaves on the decking and cobwebs everywhere. The shower was a bit too fancy for us and it took ages to work out how to turn the temperature up. Did it eventually but I think the shower needs enclosing as water just goes everywhere.

The lodge has a very warm and friendly atmosphere. The little home comforts the owners have added bring it together, right down to the cookery books in the kitchen and traditional children’s books in the twin room. Sitting on the patio with the breeze running through the trees, seeing a Squirrel, then a Robin and not forgetting the wren. Just beautiful. Everything needed to have a nice relaxing break.

Location was very nice, quiet and not near roads etc

Cobwebs and spiders in most rooms, could do with a deep clean. There was also a bees nest on the porch so we couldn’t open the back door the whole weekend, when I reported this to the owner he said he was aware but wouldn’t do anything to fix the issues.

Smell of dog. Patio was not clean, full of cobwebs and leaves, needs a good sweep. Bird poop on patio furniture and handrails. Not really clean enough to sit outside with grandchildren. Didn't seem child friendly, no games etc. Chipped crockery, had to rewash cutlery.

There was everything needed at the lodge for you to prepair meals
