Jardín Mérida

The location is away from the centre but ready to access. Great off road parking for 2 motorcycles was a huge plus for us. Staff were great and friendly. Go for the room with the terrace as this is at the back and away from the road. Great size room and lots of storage space. Restaurant serves really great food.

The cleaning could have been better. Old soap and hair stuck to the shower wall. Sofa coverings were dirty and not been cleaned for a long while..

Jardin Merida is a delightful, locally owned boutique hotel with four guest rooms. The location is excellent, just steps away from an OXOX & supermarket and an attached mini-mall, providing all the provisions you might need for your stay in Merida. Although the free continental breakfast wasn't mentioned in the listing, it pleasantly surprised us and served as a great way to start our mornings in Merida. The attached restaurant seemed popular among regular patrons, and while we didn't have a chance to try other dishes as we were already full after enjoying the fresh fruit, coffee, juice, and freshly baked muffin, we believe the food is surely delightful. We stayed in the Rosa Rokm. =$52.25 Usd with a which featured a king bed and offered ample space. The bed was firm and comfortable, while the sheets were delightfully soft. The presence of a ceiling fan and air conditioning efficiently cooled the room, providing us with a pleasant stay. The staff and owners were exceptionally kind and welcoming, enhancing the overall experience of our stay. The beautiful pool area with its botanical gardens added to the charm, and the cool water was truly refreshing. Additionally, the gated private parking was a significant convenience. Overall, this was a perfect stay for us, and we wouldn't hesitate to choose Jardin Merida again when we return to Merida. We extend our gratitude to Norma, the staff, and the family for providing us with a great stay and a delicious breakfast.

Breakfast was a roll or pastry, fruit plate and coffee. Nice patio and pool area. Servers Miranda and Aranza were very sweet and fun. Maintenance man was super helpful and handled our requests pronto. Very nice man. No English but we communicated with him through Google translate just fine. Their restaurant did a fair amount of local business. We ate some meals there, it is ok. Nice Brazilian steak house on the corner. Uber is excellent everywhere in Merida. Forget about renting a car, use uber, cheap, easy. You don't want to drive here.

Bed too hard for us. Has to request new pillows, received, fine. No hot water in the morning until after 8:30 am. AC worked fine. Mini frig worked fine. A tip: when using uber use the restaurant name "a la Pimienta and the address Ave Jose Diaz Bolo 168 Col Max Oriente, Merida. (don't use Jardin Merida Hotel, use the restaurant name works perfectly.) Need lounge chairs by the pool.

The room is spacious, clean and very nicely arranged. Every time I come to this little hotel, there are improvements. Care and thoughtfulness is perceptible in every detail. Coffee (not Nescaffe) on the desk, water bottle available right outside the room, window darkening, nets in the windows. Everything is clean. And then, there is A la Pimienta, the little restaurant that is incomparable. Everyone is kind and helpful. Way to go! Definitely my favorite budget hotel in Merida.
