McLean House Bed & Breakfast

Nice and quiet area. We got in late the night prior to taking the ferry to the Magdalen Island so we couldn't really explore the area but had a nice relaxing stay after a long drive and a good breakfast inbthe morning.

Interesting place spoilt a little by wifi not working when we arrived (but fixed later that evening) and a broken shower door making it difficult to close properly. Nice breakfast. Not many dining options but would recommend 'Red Claw' a short walk away. Basic from outside and OK in but good quality of food. Peaceful location with outdoor seating and indoor lounge. Very nice breakfast conservatory. Parking very easy.

Very nice place, the service was perfect. The breakfast was excellent!

Manager was friendly but doesn't live on site. Facility was dated and in need of TLC, and didn't comply with PEI safety codes re: smoke and carbon monoxide alarms, even though there's a sprinkler system. Breakfasts were repetitive and unable to accommodate a gluten free diet. That being said, it's an acceptable place for a night if you have a need to stay in Souris.

Great location, with a great view. Rooms were clean and large. Our host went above and beyond with an early breakfast as we had an early departure time. Would stay again

Beautiful older home, well restored. Breakfast was great. Check in was easy. We really enjoyed our short stay and would definitely go there next time we’re in the area.

The house is a bit dated but lovely, and the staff. old not be more friendly. I don’t know that i’d recommend Souris as a PEI destination unless you had a good reason to be there though. Only one decent restaurant in town and a severely understaffed one at that.
