Metchosin Beach House

The locations was perfect. Beautiful spot right on the beach. And the man at the front desk was kind and helpful.

The place was dirty when we checked in there were smears and splatters of food all over the kitchen. The kitchen was not adequately stocked with cookware. The thermostats were broken and we couldn't turn off the heat in two of the bedrooms. It was way too hot. The plumbing made an incredibly loud annoying sound in the master bathroom shower. The switches for the bathroom fans also only turned off when balanced exactly in the middle.

Most of the things were good at the property. Just 1 leaky toilet.

Location was exceptional washrooms were poor, smelled of urine

Washroom smelled of urine we couldn’t control the heat, to hot had to leave the windows open

Roof leaked creating a puddle of water in living room, way too hot (temp over 26 inside when we arrived) in all rooms even when we turned off all of the heat it was still on in one of the bedrooms, not enough cereal bowls or spoons for the 5 of us to eat breakfast together at one time, wifi was almost never working, no cable our final night, beds were super hard, fitted sheets too big. A simple toaster would have been handy. Not impressed.

Cold in the house as the heat didn't seem to work in the main living area. Otherwise it was a beautiful location.

Facilities could have been a little better - kitchen wasn’t as described

It's a very clean property to stay at. We loved the deck, and the view from the deck was amazing. It's worth the price we paid. The bathrooms were clean and tidy, and the entire unit was clean. The bedrooms were clean and cozy—a lot of parking space. I would give 9/10. I would love to visit often.

One bed was very hard, firm.
