Breakfast was not included, however our kitchen was state of the art! The hotel is at the top of the hill and the view from the roof is gorgeous. The walk to and from the beach is arduous for, like myself, the elderly.

I would have made more use of the pool, but there were not stairs to get in and out.

We stayed in villa 9 which is a nice sized studio. It has a very nice, well equipped kitchen and a very good sized bathroom and shower. Very nicely decorated. No elevator so be prepared to climb stairs but who doesn’t need a little exercise every day. It had great views of the ocean from the room and blackout curtains for that early morning sun and the rooftop is very nice with gorgeous views as well. There’s a pool on the ground level which my husband enjoyed and it’s just a short few blocks away to get to the beach. All in all, we would definitely stay there again. The hosts were very friendly and helpful. They even have a taxi that will pick you up and take you back to whatever town you need. Just ask the hosts to set that up for you. The place is located up a ways on the main road that comes into town. We had a lovely time in chacala but be prepared to climb cobble stone hills. 😃

We were here for 5 days. It was a return trip so we knew what to expect. The accommodations are comfortable and the common areas are lovely. The hotel is a couple of blocks from the beach but an easy walk.

Location was fine except we were on the first floor on a busy dusty street. Apartment was well set up and the manager was exceptionally nice. Overall it was clean though there was some mold creeping up the wall in the bathroom.

Around 4 am the hot water pipe burst. At 5 am when one of us got up there was two inches of water over the entire apartment. We were told to put our wet belongings into garbage bags and they would be returned dry. One of us lost our belongings as they accidentally threw them in the garbage. The owner offered little so when called she said she’d try to credit us $200. When talked to on the phone. Said she was trying to figure out how to do it. Nothing happened so when we called booking.com they contacted the owner and she offered $50. Honestly for the inconvenience and loss of property which was a personal loss we thought the owner was very disingenuous and obviously cheap. She could have offered dinner out for us and certainly more than $50 for our loss. It was a disappointment for sure. I would not recommend staying there for that reason alone. Why support such people?
