The Benson Motel - Benson, MN - US-12 HWY

Clean and well maintained. We just needed a place to sleep. Didn’t need any extra amenities, i.e., pool. Plenty of room with a nice little area with 2 chairs and a table.

This cute little motel was perfect for what I needed. The only thing I really didn’t like was there was no type of vending machines. The town is kind of in the middle of no where and there wasn’t any type place to get food. A snack would have been very helpful.

There were flies and ladybugs. Front light switch was dirty.

This motel exceeded my expectations for the price. It’s very clean and quiet. Great water pressure and the bed was super comfortable. Check-in is a little different as there is no front desk worker. You will get a text before your arrival with a code that you enter at a kiosk in the lobby and your key pops out. It is simple. It’s also worth noting that they do not do early check-ins before 3pm. My biggest complaint is that the WiFi connection is slow and there’s only a Roku tv; no antenna/live channels. This made watching tv in the evening hard because every few minutes it would lose connection. My coworker in another room had the same issue. The room was also quite dark even with all the lights on. Overall I had a great stay and will definitely be back!

Ease of access to hotel, and to room. Room was clean with plenty of amenities. Quick check in. Housekeeping lady was very helpful, polite and kind.

Bathroom incredibly small - would be nice for them to bring wall out a bit. Placement of table/chair in middle of room is a bit awkward. Better security latch on door would be good.

Little trouble checking in as this first time with this system. Phone call to number given and all went well.

Bathrooms way too small, uncomfortable, next time our techs will stay elsewhere if they have a job in this area again.

short on room light, hard to read instructions on coffee machine due to lack of light, there was no decaff coffee available in our room, bath room bath area could have been equipped with grab bars and place for soap and wash cloth placement and lastly a towel rack closer to the shower itself. Other wise all was great! PS< the blower motor was rather loud and for light sleepers you were aware it was working when it was blowing the air. There air and heat both worked very well!
