"Reasonable stay on road trip in strange commuter town."

We stayed here on way to go backpacking on Los Padres National Forest near Santa Barbara. Tired after long drive from Tucson and driving rain from San Bernardino on. Short swim in pool & soak in jacuzzi was restful. Odd location though--no restaurants near. We went back to Palmdale and eventually found a beer & burger place that was ok. Room was nice, good breakfast with eggs and sausage. Lancaster is 'bedroom community' for LA with more than a 60-mile commute one way. Also some reverse commuters working in Lancaster and living in small communities on S-131. Busy interstate.
