Burj Baneria - A Boutique Homestay

I chose this boutique homestay on the basis of other reviews but it even surpassed my expectations. We had a beautiful room with a breathtaking view, comfortable bed and hot shower. All the staff, excepting no one, were kind and helpful. The restaurant was a bonus and the food was so delicious that we saw no reason to eat anywhere else. At dinner everything is cooked from scratch from the moment you order and served by charming, smiling staff. I was sad to leave!

As others have mentioned, the homestay is a little distant from town. We were concerned about this at first but we soon got used to it and found it brought extra advantages, the main one being that it was extremely peaceful. We slept really well!

We loved the stay. We were a big family, and each one of us loved the place. The staff was so lovely and welcoming, and they even made us feel very special. The location was amazing, and the view from all the rooms was divine. We are very happy that we stayed in Burj Baneria and we 10/10 recommend the place. It's clean, cosy, and comfortable; not too far from the city and it has nice places to walk nearby. ❤️

Nothing was bad or unpleasant in our stay...

I absolutely loved this property! We traveled through India for about 17 days, and this was by far the best place we stayed. The room was incredibly comfortable and spotless. There was always someone cleaning and maintaining the property (and believe me, I’m very picky when it comes to hygiene), which made it feel like a 5-star experience. The view of the lake was breathtaking, and the staff was exceptional, providing excellent recommendations for things to do in Udaipur. During our stay, I caught a flu, and the owners were kind enough to send ginger to my room, which greatly aided my recovery. They were incredibly thoughtful. We also hired a driver, Gopal, who came highly recommended by the owners. He was fantastic—polite, respectful, trustworthy, and drove with great care. The food at the restaurant was also top-notch. I highly recommend this property to anyone visiting Udaipur. I had several disappointments at other properties during my time in India, but this was certainly not one of them. This place could easily be a 5-star hotel anywhere in the world.

We stayed at the wonderful Burj Baneria Dec 2024, on a tour of over 8 locations around India. This was by far our most favourite hotel and we would highly recommend. Located around a ten minute drive outside of the hustle and bustle of Udaipur, this tranquil property gives superb vistas across the lake and city from all rooms, as well as the lovely rooftop terrace and restaurant. In fact, we could hardly take our eyes from the beautiful views which amazed us each morning and evening. The hotel and rooms are comfortable, classy and clean and the hospitality and consideration from staff was excellent! We ate in the restaurant in the evening twice, and really enjoyed the tasty and fresh food, especially laal Maas lamb dish which had to be pre ordered and did not disappoint. There was always a lovely variety of food for breakfast on the terrace too. I hope you will enjoy your stay as much as our family did ! We took away great memories and hope to return one day!!

I can find any fault, although if you don’t have a car, you will need transport to reach town, but the hotel can help with this. There are also many steps, so bear this in mind if you have mobility issues.

EVERYTHING. The food in the cafe is mouthwatering and the breakfast buffet is exceptional. Everything is of such high standard and the entire property smells amazing! You can get the view of the entire Lake Pichola.
