We booked a large double bed And paid an additional amount for this The brochure on booking.com showed a large room We were given a small standard room Photos available We were told that’s all booking .con requested We felt let down Not a great nights sleep

Our stay was very comfortable. The dinner was fine but not brilliant. Breakfast was ok but service was slow and there weren't many people there. I may have been biased as we were in a hurry.

The food could have been better.

We stayed in a small double room, which was small but comfortable. As we entered the room we heard the soothing sound of Classic FM, coming from a bedside DAB radio. There was complementary sloe gin on the desk to continue the feeling of relaxation. The room temperature was just right and the bed and pillows were also comfortable. Breakfast in the restaurant area was good, served by friendly, efficient staff.

Great character throughout. Professional friendly service during our stay. Lovely little guest lounge. Quiet and cosy despite being on the front and over the bar (but we did check in as the bar was closing so not sure what you would hear if it was busy). Enjoyed the free nip of spirit they left for us. Great breakfast with plenty of choice for people that don't want a full English (which was also available).

When we got into the room after being out at a wedding, it was freezing because the radiator had been turned off by a previous guest - we turned it on and sat in the lounge for 20mins, problem solved. Then it did get rather hot overnight, so I understand why the previous guest turned it off. Maybe the pub could set the valve in a half-way house position or some other solution? I also reported that the shower tray needed a plunge as it was close to overflowing. I'm sure they will attend to this.

De kamer is ruim, gezellig en mooi ingericht. De pub beneden was erg levendig. De keuze op het menu was voldoende uitgebreid. De gerechten waren erg lekker en de bordjes verzorgd. Het ontbijt was in orde, klein buffetje en een optie voor een warm ontbijt. Een deel van het personeel was erg hartelijk en professioneel. Er is een parking achter het hotel met mogelijkheid om een elektrische wagen op te laden. Het dorpje zelf is erg gezellig, prachtig oud kerkje en goed gelegen voor uitstapjes.

De badkamer was héél erg koud, we kregen ze niet verwarmd met het handdoekrek. De flikkerende kerstverlichting op straat zorgde ervoor dat heel de slaapkamer verlicht was gedurende de nacht en slapen erg moeilijk was. De parking is klein. Een deel van het personeel is erg onervaren, kan geen basis vragen beantwoorden over de gerechten en is niet vriendelijk. Het ontbijt en ook ons avondmaal werd geserveerd in de achterste ruimte, een soort veranda waar het duidelijk minder gezellig was dan in de rest van de pub. Als je rekening houdt met de hoge prijs die je betaalt voor een kamer met ontbijt, dan klopt de prijs-kwaliteit verhouding écht niet hier.
