Heart of the Valley Motel

This is a cute old motel that was recently redone. The owner was great and the area is great but the beds ( at least in room 103) were so hard it was like sleeping on the floor. The floors are like ice and when you close the bathroom door to shower there’s only one light with a fan so it sucks the cold air from the floor and makes the bathroom so cold. Had to shower with the light off and the door open.

This is a gem of a old school motel and has been recently renovated. It's nicely equipped with amenities. My only critique is sandpaper like towels and a very stiff mattress. Regardless of these critiques.... I would gladly stay again.

It was a great stay staff was like family very attentive and accomodating we checked in late and staff had heaters 9n and room was warm will be staying there every time im in maggie valley

We loved staying here! The renovations to the property were beautiful. The room was spotless when we got there. We look forward to staying there again in the future.

Where do i begin. This place is A quaint, clean, no frills motel. The staff was absolutely amazing!!!! We loved the creek in front and even though it is in the heart of Maggie Valley, you baredly hear any road noise. The rooms were basic, exceptionally clean, and comfortable. We will definitely be booking this place again!!!!

What a Hidden Gem, back off the main road , convienient to everything in & out of town, quiet, freshly remodeled with old school charm. My room was spotless clean, comfortable, functional and new..... The property manager Boyd and his Furry Lab assistant were awesome, very helpful, friendly and knowledgable about the property and the area. (there was even a fire burring by the creek in the evening for guests to relax , unwind and feel at home). This definitely will be my recomendation and go to stay every time I'm in Maggie Valley..

Very clean. Only thing I was not use to was no tissue.

All went well, nice clean comfortable room friendly staff. We will stay here again!

Outside lighting on steps are needed close to the office leading up to the upstairs. Lamp fixture was broken. Beautiful creek setting out front of motel.

You can tell that a great many updates have been done. Shower needs a grab bar and maybe that it yet to come. For an older motel they have done a nice job. Although listed on Soco rd it is really off the main drag hence there is no noise from traffic. My husband really liked the pillows and asked for info on type. He hopes to hear about a resource but has not heard yet.
