The Edenton Collection – Captain’s Quarters Inn

Beautiful property inside and out! Walking location to sights yet located in a quiet neighborhood. Easy parking! Gigi and her husband were so gracious, helpful and made us feel welcome.

Captain's Quarters was clean, quiet, and close to downtown area. Lovely setting combined with the Granville Queen Inn right next door. Bountiful hot breakfast the next morning! All of the staff were friendly and focused on their guests. Highly recommend!!

The breakfast was so lovely delicious and served in such an elegant way. The location walking to the water and lovely downtown are us want to move to this town🙃

PLUS: A beautiful heritage building with a very nice bedroom. It smelled fine. The bathroom was immaculate and had very good water pressure for the shower. We enjoyed sitting on the swing on the porch. Location was very convenient, walking distance to many attractions. But the breakfast was terrible! Food appeared to have been purchased off the shelf/out of the freezer, not homemade. We asked for hot black tea and were given lukewarm water - the water remained clear after 5 minutes - could not steep. The teabags smelled musty and looked very aged. It did not taste good. The check-in and eating areas smelled very musty. We had hoped for a memorable breakfast that would leave us with a positive feeling about the place. For what we paid, we expected a better breakfast.
