Porto Loft Living

Bernardo, our contact, was very helpful and his communication with us was very good. He was waiting for us at the apartment when we arrived and explained everything. The apartment was spacious, well equipped, modern with lovely decor, and in a secure & safe environment and area. The apartment was very close to many restaurants, bars & cafes. It was a 10 minute walk to the riverside and not much further to many other attractions.

We were staying for 4 nights but were supplied with 1 bath and 1 hand towel each. We requested extra towels, at extra cost, but it never happened. There was a washing machine and one pod provided.

We were contacted in the booking chat, where we received a direct whatsapp contact to the person, that will be giving us the keys. The responsible person was very friendly, gave me a quick tour of the apartment building, told me where to leave keys when checking out and that's all. The apartment: 5/5 what you see is what you get, I wasn't surprised at all because the pictures are really on point. All very clean. The couch bed was really big, 2 people would fit comfortably, 3 people would be a tight fit but still enough. The room temperature was controlled by the ventilation system, so upper floor was definitely hotter and the lower floor was comfortable. Utensils: they had everything we needed, lots of extra plates and glasses. The surrounding: it was a chill neighbourhood, I enjoyed having public transport in walkable distance but when we had time, it was like 15 minutes walk to Batalha/Sao Bento, so right into the city centre.

At night, my parents slept soundly, but I was a bit hyperaware of the green light sound on the crosswalk. Its not the apartments fault, but city's that they have it so loud. I would prefer to have bit more dish soap at the sink as I was afraid we were going to run out of it.

Comfortable , good location and spacious.

Dishwasher was smelly & mouldy inside and not working this was not resolved by the service agents during or after our stay. Disappointed by the accommodation agents service or understanding.

The unit was great! Spacious, clean, and comfy. It had almost all the normal essentials that we (me and my husband) needed during our seven night stay (shampoo, hand soap, dish soap, dishwasher soap for one load, towels, etc.) but note that it's a self-serve rental so you may need to buy more depending on your needs (particularly when talking about toilet paper and we bought laundry soap). The kitchen had all the dishes and utensils we needed (although there was only one wine glass), a microwave/oven, a full size fridge, a freezer, a toaster, and an electric stove. There was also a laundry machine that doubles as a dryer, and there was a drying rack for items you don't want in the dryer. The living area was comfy with a couch, coffee table, and smart TV. There is a four-seat dining table in the "dining room" which is essentially the space separating the kitchen and the living room. The bedroom is upstairs in the loft and the bed, blankets, and pillows were comfy - watch your head at the top of the stairs and on one side of the bed because the ceiling is low. The bedroom had USB ports by the bed. The location was fantastic - walking distance to bars, restaurants, parks, the river, festivities, famous sites, etc. There is free parking right by the building if needed. The area seemed safe and the unit was very quiet. The only issue I had was it was hard to keep the windows open too long because a ton of flies would come in - so I would suggest screens although I know those aren't a big thing in Portugal. I would stay here again and highly recommend the rental!

All in all it was great.

The wardrobe door was partially broken in the hinges, some days there was a bad smell from the bathroom or ventilation - not sure why, maybe because of excessive rain, but who knows. But that's a minor problem.

The place is amazing, perfectly located, in a quiet place but close to everything. Many bars and restaurants at 5 min walking. We loved the decoration and the comfort of the apartment

Adorable loft! Felt like home :) very safe nearby and easy to get everywhere on foot!
