Herdade da Caniceira

Gostamos essencialmente do conforto de toda a casa, desde a limpeza à decoração. Os animais da herdade foram uma agradável surpresa, principalmente os patudos extremamente meigos.

Located at the center of an enormous property, you couldn't hear anything but nature if you tried and you need really good binoculars to see the 1 neighbor in sight ( in Alentejos plains you can see Kms all around you). Took some great walks without leaving the estate, fed beautiful Lusitados horses, and played with the estate dogs. The poll is fine and a must to cool off (30-40 celsius in the summer) A special thank you to the host, D.Rosa, that really made us feel at home! She is definitely part of the charm of this estate, like an aunt we all should have Ohhh... wanna fly on a hot air balloon? Talk with Publibalao and take off from inside the estate, 3min walk from where you sleep. It was so awesome!

There are multiple small well-kept villages in a 20km radious. They are worth a visit, but there isn't much to do, so if you're like us in 2 days, you've seen it all... more time to enjoy the pool and peace... oh Alentejos food is awesome, but it's getting a bit pricy to eat. It's still worth it!
