The garden and the quietness were great. The position was good to visit Oxford

Shower gel was finished in the shower and not replaced after asking the staff. Breakfast schedule is too strict (7-9 am) and not good enough for a relaxing vacation. The room might get hot on sunny days: nevertheless fans are provided

Breakfast was basic but fresh with a good selection. Lovely courtyard to sit in. Our shower room was lovely. We were able to leave our vehicle in the ample car part while we walked into the quaint town.

Didn’t like the painted brick walls in the bedroom, and only one chair so had to sit on the bed. Tv was so small and lots of channels had no signal - sorry to moan

"Nice staff very basic"

6.0

The breakfast lady and reception staff were very friendly. Very quiet location and parking close to the rooms and dog friendly all positives

The walls between rooms were very thin and it says a private courtyard but it’s not. All The rooms look in on each other with very thin curtains. I wasn’t expecting the shower room to be bathroom accessible including the shower so it felt a bit clinical. Hospital like. I’m not sure if that was just our room. I’d also arranged an extra nights stay and confirmed it with the management but they didn’t take it off sale on time so it was double booked online and I’d altered my train times so a bit expensive for me. Fine for a stop over but not a relaxing break for the cost

"An excellent overnight stop between London and Blenheim palace."

Quiet location, plenty of parking, lovely big bathroom with heated towel rail and good pressure in the shower. Tea, coffee, hot choc and biscuits in room when we arrived, self check in easy. Excellent breakfast, friendly server.

Not much.

Location was excellent. Setting was beautiful Room was clean and comfortable

I would have liked more options at breakfast but understand that the facilities might make this impossible. Also one of our windows opened directly onto a walkway so it would have been nice to have a net curtain for this window. We just kept the blind down.

"OKay but honestly a bit too pricey for the experience"

6.0

Beautiful garden, lovely atmosphere, nature. Comfortable bed. Pet friendliness! I liked the self check in, it is very convenient for people who run late, especially applicable for walkers.

Breakfast is really poor for the price of the room. Every hotel with breakfast included, even the cheap one, has cheese and ham for breakfast. Would be great if you could invest in proper hot plates and have a variety of things for breakfast. Also, a bit too weird to have a "self-service" breakfast with a person making coffee and eggs for you. It created a weird feeling. The shower of the neighbouring room is extremely noisy, it woke me up.
