Amazing Life House in Varenna

It was well equipped. It was close to ferry and train station.

The location. At very back of complex. It was dark and the main window faced a wall. There was supposed to be an outside garden. It was some uneven astroturfing and stones with no seating at the side of the entrance path. We also had a problem with ants inside the,property but had no warning of this from letting agents

Lovely place in a lovely town. Super spacious apartment, fully equipped with kitchen and even a washer and dryer.

This apartment was excellent. It is not right in the town which made it much quieter than others I looked at, but it is a short walk to the ferry, the train and the shops and restaurants. It has a small sitting area outside which was lovely for an afternoon sundowner. The facilities in the apartment were first class.

Bathroom door continuously squeaked.

There was a landslide the night before we checked out, which closed the road and cancelled all trains out of Lake Como. The property manager, despite knowing we were checking out, did not have the foresight to message us and let us know. We only found out when we arrived at the train station at 6 am. As a result, we had to figure out our own way to the airport and missed our flight home. This cost us thousands extra in expenses for our missed flight, a new hotel booking, new train and bus tickets, which could have easily been avoided had they been more communicative. When I reached out to them the morning of for assistance they were zero help and we basically had to navigate the situation on our own and figure out how to get to the airport.

Overall it was a great location and was the perfect choice for getting the train or ferries which were both a few minutes walk away. It was clean, the bed was comfortable and was quiet. The only thing that I could say for improvement was to provide an iron as well as a broom and dustpan as we broke a glass and it was difficult to clean up all the tiny pieces of glass by hand.

The location and air conditioning was amazing!!!! The size of the apartment was excellent as well. We loved the sound system in the bathroom--- fun feature! Overall, amazing spot to stay and centrally located!!

The bed wasn't as comfortable as it could be. Also, the fitted sheet was not fitted and kept coming out at night. I am also unsure how clean the comforters in the closet were--- they looked dirty. Using the dryer only feature on the washing machine combo was impossible to navigate, so it made drying our wash very difficult. I would propose clearer instructions on that feature if possible.

Nice amenities including washing machine. Comfy sleeper sofa. Very close to Ferries.
