Grand Banyan Hotel

很少在台灣的飯店吃到班尼迪蛋，而且可以預先下單，不用排隊等候。早餐餐廳一個負責收拾盤子的員工（男，戴眼镜）非常禮貌，concierge 一個男員工也是笑容滿臉，很主動幫忙，服務是超讚的。房間也整潔舒服。

門口的「請勿打擾」燈，明明開啟了，第二天早上發覺它自動關掉。

We booked the Grand Banyan Hotel in Tainan expecting a true 5-star experience, but what we got was far below that standard in almost every aspect. It started with a very basic request that was completely ignored: we asked for a quiet room. Instead, we were given a room facing the street and placed right next to a family with a baby that cried throughout the entire night. There was absolutely no sense of rest or comfort. Breakfast was another major letdown. It was easily the worst breakfast of our entire trip. The selection felt uninspired, and the food quality was bland and disappointing, far from what you would expect from a hotel of this supposed category. The pool situation was also poorly managed. It only opened at 1:30 pm, which is already quite late, especially when guests expect to use facilities during the day. We specifically paid extra expecting a relaxing experience, but then the pool was cleaned during peak hours between 5:30 pm and 6:30 pm. It makes no sense why this wasn’t done in the morning before opening. There was also no real pool bar as such, just the bar located on the second floor, which made service feel disconnected and slow. Ordering drinks there took around 15 minutes, and the staff seemed overwhelmed. The drinks themselves were poorly mixed and inconsistent in quality. On top of that, the seating area around the pool was extremely uncomfortable. The chairs were worn out and fraying, and not designed for comfort at all. If you sat down with a wet swimsuit, they didn’t dry properly and instead stayed damp for a long time, which made the experience even worse. Overall service felt disorganized and understaffed. Even small details, like towels, were disappointing; they were worn out and fraying. Parts of the bathroom also showed clear signs of poor maintenance, including rusted fixtures and some mold in the shower area.

The location was excellent. The size of the room was fantastic with lots of stuff with lots of storage so it was easy for us to unpack for this day.

The curtains didn’t completely close yet so I would’ve preferred a full lockout screen. In the shower and then it is include conditioner which is unusual for a five star property. I’m not a dealbreaker.
