My daughter and I walked 200K of El Camino in Spain, and wanted a great place to relax with our husbands afterward. What a find! This hotel is perfect. It's not crowded and loud. You want to spend time in the lobby (playing backgammon), on the patio, by the pool.... From being greeted by the fabulous Jorge to the rest of the staff--David, Paolo, Luciano to name a few.....but all were so attentive and pleasant. We had a junior suite with spectacular ocean views. It was immaculate, and the bed was huge and comfortable. Everything you need is either there or provided when asked for. The breakfast is wonderful, as is all the food. We usually ate in the bar-great menu. It is a 15 minute walk to Cascais which is a charming city with a gorgeous marina (boat tours, jet skis, etc.) or the other direction to Estoril. Book it. You will be so glad you did.

Excellent hotel. Very friendly and efficient staff. Superb views to the sea. Easy walking distance to both Estoril and Cascais. Easy access to Lisbon via local train. Would highly recommend.

Amazing location, friendly staff and beautiful building

The hotel is in a fabulous Portuguese heritage building with original painted tiles, carved marble detailings and ornate wood panelling. The heritage aspects of the buildings have been impeccably maintained and restored. This is simply the most beautiful hotel I have stayed at.

Portugal’s rich heritage in tile is honored throughout the hotel, adding an authentic sense of place. The baroque style architecture, built in 1917 as a summer home, now welcomes guests with all the comforts of twenty-first century technology seamlessly blended into its elegant surroundings. For interior designers, this hotel is a dream destination. I highly recommend this former summer residence turned boutique hotel when visiting Cascais.
