Tyn-y-Coed Hotel

Very nice room, had everything I needed for a one night stay.

In the perfect place for what i was doing. Noisy extractor fan or something similar kept me awake (not mine as I made sure bathroom light was off). Bathroom cabinet needed replaced, mirror was peeling. Curtains would not close properly and were hung two different ways on the one window. Breakfast was 8-10am, disappointed not started earlier. Evening menu was very poor for a vegetarian - only one option which was beans ! there was also one vegan option also, but vegan is NOT a second option for a vegetarian, two totally different dietary requirements. A shame they did not offer you a chance to say no to fresh towels each day..

The hotel is lovely, under 20 minutes drive from several trails of Snowdon, and although it is on the busy A5, the rooms are quiet. The food and drinks were excellent, if a little on the expensive side. And the hotel is a 10 minute drive outside Betws-Y-Coed, so if you want a change of venue for your meal, it means driving, we would have used the local bus service but it stopped running after 7pm. There are some nice walking routes around the hotel too.

Really friendly helpful staff. Hotel is recently (2022) under new ownership and it is clear they are investing in the facilities. Good restaurant.

Excellent service. The lady on reception was super friendly and helpful and was efficiently training a new starter. We booked a table for an evening meal which was delicious.

Recently renovated so ignore the pictures! Lovely people working here, great restaurant and reasonably priced. Highly recommended.

Stayed her with a group from a MTB club. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and we were given the use of a currently unused room to store and charge our bikes. Room was very clean and well appointed. Plenty of warm water for bathing. Good selection of food and drink.

It was a very pleasant hotel with very friendly staff. The room was very clean and modern. A great location to stay when hiking.
