They didn’t warn me in advance that it was difficult to get into the room, and I didn’t have the Internet to contact the employee. Please warn people in advance, I had to search the Internet for the area because of it. Also the fridge was empty, so there was no breakfast, the bed creaked, the mattress was uneven, it was uncomfortable to sleep. It was not possible for me to understand how the shower works. The lock on the bathroom door is rusty - difficult to close

I had no idea when I booked the room last minute for my friend that there would be no one at the property and so he was standing outside for 3 hours trying to get in, not knowing the self check-in procedure. As he does not have a smartphone and is not able to be online, I could not send him the video sent to me at the end by the manager so I had to describe the video to him and the whole thing was a nightmare! Finally, the manager called him and sorted it out as my friend is dyslexic and had put a 3 instead of a 5! Grateful to the manager for getting him into the property, but the whole thing took 3 hours as I had tried calling the number without success.... There was no continental breakfast in the room as stated. As he was only in the room for 4 hours it's difficult to give a complete review.

The worst customer service I ever got.I called the host several times but couldn't reach him. This made me stranded. I had to book an alternative place to stay. And up till now, the host hasn't reached out to apologise for the ridiculous service

I came to MacPherson house for work and in 25 years of working away it's the worst place I've stayed in. The room was cold and when I entered so i turned up the heating the owner turned it back down over WiFi, after turning back up again he phoned me asking why I'm turning up the heating and that 18c is hot enough. The heating was then set to 18c but only came on after 6pm. So I had to get into bed. Aswel as that there was the following issues, Missing carpets, exposed gripper rods on floor, stains everywhere, the sink in the shared bathroom was broken, the bath panel was hanging off, flooring not fitted properly. This place is disgusting I expect a lot better from Booking.com
