Convenience.

Over a four night stay we were awakened by the fire alarm at least once a night. When questioned the staff said nothing could be done about it until Monday. And in fact it was repaired on Monday morning. In addition to the general annoyance of the alarm sounding when there was no fire it made us wonder what would happen if there were really a fire. The whole situation was unacceptable despite a basically fine hotel.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. They were dog people and very hospitable. The store was well stocked and there was plenty of parking.

It felt like a dorm room. The bed was uncomfortable. There was something in the grass that kept the dogs from pooping on it. There was nothing particularly wrong with the hotel it just felt like the standard for rooms and services are dropping.
