Hostal Don Pedro

- the host, Pedro, picked us up from the airport. Very lovely chap with limited English so being able to speak Spanish is needed and/ or having a translator app. He was always very smiley and we managed to have some good convo’s about local places etc regardless of the language barrier. - this was the cheapest hostal we could find that had private rooms/ own bathroom and a central location (20 min walk to the middle of town). The room was very basic but was clean, warm and a good size so it served it's purpose. There were plenty of sockets for charging things too! The room was also quiet so we slept well – we much needed after long days of exploring! - the hostal is super close to the bus station (3 min walk) so that was helpful for our early bus travel to/ from Puerto Natales. - we had the hostal booked for before and after our W trek and Pedro let us keep our luggage here for free. This was very convenient and meant we didn’t have to pay for storage lockers.

The hotel booking suggests that there's kitchen facilities available to guests - this is not true. There's two microwaves, cutlery and a fridge, that's it. There’s no restaurants in the area and the one’s in town were quite pricey. We were travelling for a month so needed to keep food costs down and were really hoping to cook for ourselves during our stay! We ended up buying some microwave meals from the supermarket – cheaper than the restaurant but not ideal.

Excelente Servicio, ubicación y servicio de estacionamiento.

Hostal atendido por sus dueños. Cuando se va al sur de Chile, uno espera hospedarse en hostales como este, acogedores, hogareños, calentitos donde se pueda comer desayuno con pan en tostador con quemador. Todo impecable, desayuno contundente y exquisito. Don Pedro soluciono cada una de las dudas y solicitudes, y con la mejor disposicion. Un 10/10. Hostal precio calidad impecable.

The room was clean and comfortable.

It would have been helpful to have access to a refrigerator. Also would have been nice to have an early option for breakfast. I wasn’t able to use the benefit because I needed to leave around 7am all three mornings I was there.
