The Bodie Hotel

Good: service, comfy bed, historic hotel, close to restaurant. Not so good: no hangers or hooks for clothes, no desk or easy chair, no TV, closet-sized bath, room faced highway 395 40 feet away, no breakfast, 10 a.m. checkout.

I use a service dog and after I booked the room, I received an email stating that the owners requested I find another place to stay because of my service dog and that they would refund my full payment. After contacting them, I ended up cancelling my reservation when Jo informed me that I was not wanted there and after I informed her of the legal ramifications of denying me the room I booked, she then proceeded to tell me that she would move my room to the rear of the hotel and that my SD would not be allowed in any other area of the hotel, which is also a violation of the ADA. As of now, a complaint has been filed with the California ADA coordinator and the DOJ in Washington DC for discrimination. I cancelled the reservation because of the hostility and discrimination I experienced and feeling that if I pushed the reservation, I would have had horrible service

Hotel famigliare in stile vittoriano. La struttura risente un po' dell'età (i pavimenti e le scale non sono propriamente "a bolla") ma non scricchiolano e sono abbastanza comodi. Mandano una mail con informazioni sui dintorni ma non è accuratissima (controllate giorni e ore di chiusura!).

I actually did not stay at this hotel so can't say how the rooms are. I see other reviews and they are good. I came to early for checking so I was advised to go next door to another hotel so I could check in, so, I did that.

Great friendly staff & cool history

Could do with a refresh. Bathroom floor was COLD with tile. No lighting except for lamps in the room.

Es war eine angenehme Übernachtung in diesem renovierten historischem Hotel in Bridgeport! Die Gastgeber sind super nett und hilfsbereit. Die Betten waren sehr bequem.

They went out of the way to accommodate our crazy schedule and made the entire trip seamless. Very friendly, great communication, a wonderful stay!

We haven't yet had a chance to stay at the Bodie, as we had to alter our plans due to inclement weather during the backpacking trip for which the hotel was to be our jumping off point. But the folks with whom we spoke regarding our change in plans were just so understanding and helpful that we're certain this will be a great place to stay one we get the opportunity (hopefully in a couple of days). Being a guest at the Bodie is definitely a great idea!

Amenities were awesome, Steve at check in was so kind and informative. Beds were comfy and in the heart of town.
