Grand Residences

The breakfast was ok. We had coffee, croissant and a baguette adequate. We would collect from across the road and eat in the apartment because the place did not have enough seating space but it was no problem for us. Property was spotless clean and comfortable, very well equipped and right in the centre a few minutes walk to the harbour will definitely recommend to anyone visiting Chania..... we will be back.

Property was clean, new and in the heart of Chania, walkable to everything! Hosts were lovely and offered to help us with anything we needed. We loved the Greek style breakfast at the shop across the street (such sweet owners insisted on plying the kids with tons of cookies). This is a wonderful place to return home to after exploring all day, and provides guests with a more authentic, local experience.

The layout is a bit unique by some standards, best for families who are comfortable passing through one another's bedrooms to use the bathroom. One should also be able to navigate stairs. Neither of these were problems for us, but could be for the mobility challenged.

The apartment is simply excellent. We were travelling with a 4 months old and the accomodation provided everything we needed, including a lovely cot.Well equipped, very clean, nicely decorated, with a home away from home feeling. We appreciated the breakfast and daily cleaning and change of towels and sheets. Location is perfect, city center, very close to old town, shopping area, a park and just a short walk to the beach. Our hosts were amazing, very kind and making sure we have everything we need at any time. Communication was great. They also provided a nice list on restaurant recommandations, beach clubs, things to do etc. of course, the private pool and outdoor amenities are a plus, specially if you are travelling with friends.

There is nothing we did not like. We could though mention that the apartment is a 3-levels one, where bedrooms are upstairs so if you don’t like going up amd down the stairs, then this might be a challenge. Was not a problem for us.

Die Unterkunft war sehr zentral und der Service und auch das Personal war einzigartig und jederzeit erreichbar. Uns wurde jeder Wunsch sofort erfüllt und es wurde sich sehr um uns gekümmert.

Das Frühstück war schon sehr sporadisch und minimalistisch. Für eine eigene Versorgung fehlt es u.a. an Tassen .

Υπήρχε καλή και θετική διάθεση να κάνουμε check out 2-3 ώρες μετά. Τελικά φύγαμε 12:00 διότι έπρεπε να γίνει καθαριότητα χώρου για τους επόμενους ενοίκους.

Το πρωινό θεωρώ ότι χρειάζεται βελτίωση. Η διαδικασία ήταν αρκετά περιοριστική: κάθε άτομο δικαιούταν μόνο έναν καφέ ή έναν χυμό, μισή μπαγκέτα και ένα κρουασάν (βουτύρου ή σοκολάτας). Αυτό δημιουργεί την αίσθηση ότι δεν υπάρχει πραγματική επιλογή για τον επισκέπτη και ότι το πρωινό είναι «υποχρεωτικά τυποποιημένο». Θα ήταν πολύ πιο θετικό αν υπήρχαν εναλλακτικές, όπως αραβική πίτα, κάποιο αλμυρό σνακ (π.χ. τυρόπιτα ή κασερόπιτα) ή πιο υγιεινές επιλογές (π.χ. γιαούρτι με γκρανόλα και φρούτα). Έτσι θα καλύπτονταν διαφορετικά γούστα και ανάγκες, κάτι που είναι βασικό στοιχείο φιλοξενίας. Είναι κρίμα, γιατί η ποιότητα του πρωινού συμβάλλει σημαντικά στη συνολική εμπειρία του επισκέπτη, και με μικρές αλλαγές θα μπορούσε να αφήνει πολύ καλύτερες εντυπώσεις. Επιπλέον το κατάλυμα έχει πολύ μεγάλες τζαμαρίες αλλά μόνο ρολερ απλά και όχι συσκότισης, με αποτέλεσμα να ξυπνάς από τα χαράματα
