Homely 1-Bed Apartment in Birmingham

The sofa was comfy, the tv was good.

THE SHOWER ROOM!!!! Literally when you have a shower the whole floor floods and you end up standing in water thats going around the toilet and everywhere. Then it took hours to dry. The bed was very uncomfy. The Internet hardly worked. The noise of upstairs is very loud, slamming doors early hours and parking is awkward. The communication was stressful as i wouldnt get a reply for hours.

Nice and clean, little to no damage in places that mattered. Good for a short stay. In a semi quiet area next to the train station, bus stops and a shopping street. There's a small multi-cultural shop a five minute walk away too which is very nice if you're looking for non-british products. Has a smart TV (but no HDMI cable if you need that), and a big wide living room great to lounge in. There's radiators as well if it's cold, but no AC.

The kitchen was poorly stocked with utensils. There was no cooking pot, and a damaged oven tray that smoked from something melted onto it. No kitchen or bathroom towels either. The bathroom shower doesn't have a curtain or basin so it kind of just floods the entire room if you're not careful. There were ants in the bedroom too so better not leave any food out.

It was close to the NEC

It was filthy. I told the host who responded fed quickly and said a cleaner would be sent out, this did happen and the bins were emptied, filthy mat taken up and crumbs in one area removed - but looking at the whole place, it clearly was not thoroughly cleaned after each visit. Everything was dirty. Bedroom - so much light coming in from the street light outside and huge green exit light on the ceiling, impossible to sleep with so much light. A van pulled up outside the house at 11pm and proceeded to fill it with contents of an another house - breaking tiles and to fit them in etc this was right outside my window from 11pm to midnight.

The property is good value for money good facilities, however not the cleanest

The bathroom floods when you go in the shower and takes hours to drain, dry by the morning but takes hours, cleanliness ok. Parking hard to park

Overall spacious and comfortable flat.

Waited outside for over an hour for the lock box code, no reply from host to multiple texts and calls. Cleanliness was okay, but old food in the kitchen. Oven really needs cleaning, and no oven glove or tea towel. Bathroom was cold and the floor sealant was worse for wear.
