Mint House at The Divine Lorraine Hotel - Philadelphia

This was the second time we stayed here. We also stayed here in early October. The location is perfect for us. We are close enough to my family living in Penn while also an easy drive from the city and things like the zoo and art museums. We have ran into problems with the building during our stays though. Both times, I spent extra to have a room with a king bed and received a queen — not a big deal. This stay was much more disappointing because I reserved the “deluxe suite” and the room was tiny compared to the room we got previously when we reserved a regular room. The worst part was the window in the bedroom was not sealed and we could hear every car go by at night. The hotel must know about the problem because they leave 2 pairs of earplugs by the bed. If it was the window in the living room area, it would be fine, but right next to the bed was rough. I also reserved a ‘city-view’ room and we were facing the inside of the building with little privacy from other rooms and causing all the noise from the road to echo loudly into the room. Little things could be cleaned better. The coffee machine was covered in a weird powder and there was an old sponge to use in the kitchen. We want to love this property because the staff is always so friendly and the location is great!

The apartment was beautiful . Just what we needed during our road trip from Tampa to York Maine.

I liked that it was more like an apartment than a hotel room. It was a well-kept old building, very quaint. The employees were extremely nice! It’s on a very loud street. The pre-check-in was unusual - a background check requesting photos of a driver’s license and a selfie as part of a background check seemed too much. I did not want to provide a photo of my ID and a selfie online. Overall, a very nice place and I enjoyed my stay

I loved learning the history of the property and the upgrades giving it the comfort one desires in a hotel room. As a business traveler, I truly appreciated the ability to make my room/apartment my home base for the multiple days that I was in Philadelphia.

Our stay at Mint House at The Divine Lorraine was wonderful. The building itself has been beautifully restored and our room was so not what I expected. I booked a 1 bedroom deluxe suite. This was unlike any suite I have ever stayed in. You walk into a full kitchen/living room with a half bath immediately inside the door. The half bath has a very spacious linen closet. The main area has 2 full size closets and 1 small closet with shelves that could be used as a pantry. The bedroom has a quite comfortable king size bed, a bureau with multiple drawers and another full size closet. The ensuite bath has a shower/tub combination with great water pressure and water temperature. There is a also a washer/dryer and a hot water tank in this bathroom. And, another closet. Mint House at The Divine Lorraine is described as an "upscale aparthotel", and it definitely lives up to that description. The room is very well-appointed. Coffee maker, electric kettle, great toiletries. There were 2 cartons of water and some bbq chips on the coffee table, and there was a small mesh bag containing a sleep mask and ear plugs on each nightstand.

The staff was very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The apartment was comfortable, well-appointed and very clean. Would definitely stay at the Mint House again, it’s an outstanding value.

We easily checked in with Thea, who was friendly and helpful. We had rooms that were condos. Furnished, comfy, and everything we needed. All in a great location.

This hotel was even better than I was expecting. It’s a beautiful building and the room was lovely. There are nearby grocery stores and the room had a full kitchen so if you’ll be staying a while, you can make meals there. The location was perfect because we were going to a show at The Met. It was such a short walk. We weren’t sure where to park when we arrived so I called the phone number on the website and a helpful woman gave us the address for a garage nearby. It was about a 5 minute walk, mostly because of lights and traffic. We definitely want to go back.
