New Hope Lodge

New Hope is beautiful. The hotel was horrible and not with the money We never saw anybody after we got our room. Towels so thin and never changed The experience for the weekend was very disappointing. We would like some sort of monetary compensation. I can provide pictures of the state of the room

The lodge is quaint and the environment, peaceful. We liked the table and chairs set up just outside the door, the ability to open the windows, and the tranquil setting. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The shower was great too. There was a heater in the bathroom so it was cozy instead of cold going in and getting out of the shower.

The TV and the two remotes were very difficult and confusing to navigate. It took me about a half hour to even get one channel and it had this wierd voice over. Fortunately we did not spend much time in the room so it was not a big deal. Next time we will ask a staff member to explain the system.

Breakfast wasn't eaten. I understand it was only muffins and coffee.

Notified Booking.com that my wife and I were married on the date of admission. Requested some sort of congratulation note be placed on our pillows. Was told property was informed of this request and would honor same at no extra charge. No such message was waiting for us upon our arrival. No outlet in bathroom to use hair dryer. Toilet paper holder fell from wall first time using toilet. Half of outlets in shower head were blocked due to corrosion, making rinsing off soap/shampoo estremely difficult. Weather molding around entrance door was in need of repair as air could be seen through molding. As a very small (ineffective) air conditioner was running entire stay, whistling could be heard as air was escaping room through ineffective weather seal on entrance door. Mars were visible in hardwood floors. Parking was full, making us park 5 units away from our Unit 28. Spring squeaking could be heard when moving about in the bed. Supposing an old spring mat was being used to support mattress instead of box spring. This lodge certianly wasn't as advertised by Booking.com. Will not return to this facility as it is not worth the high price charged Hideo supporting these claims. It is too large to attach in property photos.

There were spider webs above the bed and a plugged mouse hole in the room. The bathroom was not clean. The mirror and tub were dirty.

The staff were all wonderful and the bed was comfortable, but the bathroom was not clean. There were multiple spider webs with bugs in them that were clearly old, water stains/rust in the tub, damage to the random desk chair and just not a clean environment. I expected more out of a place surrounded by the amazing New Hope. I would stay again out of necessity, but wouldn’t book for my very particular mother (if that makes sense to describe it).

We loved this place. Can't wait to go back again! It has a friendly, cosy vibe and is extremely LGBTQ+ inclusive. It's only a 20 minute walk from the accommodation to the main street of New Hope.
