Lovely lodge stay- great location in the New Forrest. Alpaca walk was a highlight!
Sandy balls is an amazing place.. we stayed in a Zen 10 with a Hot tub, not much outdoor space around hot tub and the lodge was lovely but starting to get a bit tired.. Also no WiFi or phone signal and as we went with a large group it was hard to stay in touch.. The kids loved it especially the Alpaca walk with Sid who was great and the colour run and cream pie fight.. Food really nice but drinks a bit pricey.. great for a long weekend..
Ovwrall amazing
We liked that the lodge had a hot tub and the beds made up which was nice and the lodge was clean. I would of liked someone to send me the right time we could of booked in we was told over the phone 4pm when i could of checked in at 2.30pm and some of the brambles to trimmed back on entrance to lodge, other than that we really enjoyed our stay.
Very family friendly, lots of outdoor play areas around the grounds. Shop very handy & has most things you would need. Kids activities are brilliant, the entertainment team are amazing, especially Katy who was so kind to my 5 year old son with additional needs all week, she gave him such a confidence boost. Overall we would love to return sometime.
Everything was excellent couldn't recommend it enough! Already booked up for next year!
Great holiday for families
The unexpected upgrade to an Indulgent caravan with a hot tub was great, loved that! The accommodation was situated among lovely trees towards the back of the park. It was immaculately clean and very large, with all round decking, en suites and TVs in each room, perfect! However, the neighbours we had were quite noisy - on the first night, the man opposite us was playing drum and bass loudly for about four hours, and on our third and final night, the group to the side of us had a hot tub party with loud music that went on till 1am in the morning... Could have done without that aspect tbh, as it just spoilt the peaceful and natural surroundings. We just wanted to enjoy being in the New Forest, away from it all.
Do not stay here! It was disgusting.
Absolutely brilliant stay. We've not been before, but heard good things from many many people. That was worrying because expectations were high - but brilliantly, we were not disappointed. We'd happily come back again soon. We were lucky to be able to travel out of peak time, so it was nicely quiet, although still had enough people for a nice atmosphere. And the weather was perfect too.
