Cute space in historic house.

The accommodations were not appropriate for an older person who is not accustomed to doing many stairs. I was a solo traveler and had to carry my (3) 50 lb bags up three flights of stairs to the 3rd floor. For a woman in her 60's it was not ideal. Parking situation was also not ideal, as free parking entailed parking at The West End Hotel, 6/10 of a mile away (approx 15 min walk) down Lindell Blvd. For a solo woman to walk that distance in the dark and in the rain did not feel very safe. Metered parking did exist in the front of the house and was free from 7pm - 7am, however that meant getting up pretty early on a daily basis to move my car or put $5 on the meter every two hours, which becomes exceedingly expensive. All in all, the place was fair and good for those probably without vehicles and more spry to do many stairs. I did have to leave and go to the Hampton Inn where there was parking and elevators. Unfortunately there was no refund option, so lost quite a bit of money this week.

I like most everything about this property and I would definitely stay again. The location is great. The room is so cute and I love the fact that has its own kitchen. I feel like it's a hidden gem being close to the university. I've already told people about it!

The mattress was a little hard. But that would not prevent me from staying here at all. That might be the only thing I would consider changing. And the parking could a little bit challenging but I parked in the street early evening and I left about 715 and I was not ticketed. So it worked for me.

Outdated bathroom with no hot shower and minimal spray from old shower head. Lots of street and hallway noise all night. Clean rooms and areas. Email said ok to check in on phone and sent code. Code was wrong and customer service required going to another location ten minutes away to check in.

White House was right on SLU campus which was what we wanted. We stayed in unit F on the second floor. It has everything we needed and it was clean. The only complain was our bed was extremely uncomfortable. The plastic mattress cover was squishy and noisy. It didn’t feel good to sleep on. The mattress was also slanting towards one side, We enjoyed the proximity to campus, the little backyard which we utilized to entertain my daughter’s roommate and her dad before going out to dinner. It had washer and dryer which we used too. Overall, it fit our needs for the parents weekend visit. The parking was FAR and I don’t know if I would feel comfortable late at night alone. Staff at the West End was helpful. I’ll try it again for move out weekend and book in advance.

The air conditioning had a strange smell when we tried to alter the temperature to make it less cold. The quality of the bedding was poor as were the towels.
