Bonhill Getaway

Property 5 minutes from railway station and very handy for sightseeing. Not far to travel to Loch Lomond and Glasgow and train or bus service to Edinburgh very frequent. Enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.

The living room carpet was dirty and stained, which would put off staying again if it wasn’t cleaned. Other than that everything else was clean. Enjoyed my stay and would try it again.

It was great value for money and very close to local shops and castles

Nothing it was all good

It is a very spacious apartment, plenty of room. The wifi was very fast. The location was really nice for us: close to many facilities such as supermarkets, Mc Donalds etc, but it also made a great base to explore the Loch Lomond region with day trips.

The apartment is really poorly equipped which was a let-down for us. It was not really equipped from the perspective of a visitor... Some examples: there are only 2 chairs which was really annoying for a family of four during breakfast and dinner. Less than 4 of some cutlery such as forks/knives. There is a washing machine (nice!) but no drying rack whatsoever. No cleaning cloth. Not so much towels. No broom. No hooks in the hallway to hang your coats. No places to hang your wet towels. Also the cleanliness could be better.

flat could have been a lot cleaner - carpets and upholstery in a very poor dirty condition, certainly needed shampooed or replaced. Sofa bed dirty and stained. Singled bed completely broken and had to move mattress to the floor. Mattress on double bed needs replaced. No full length mirror.

Perfect place for dogs as if was right behind a park

Lacked a lot of basic cleaning supplies, no wipes or kitchen roll in the kitchen as well as no extra bin bags. Only 2 forks and 3 knives in the cutlery draw and very limited number kitchen utensils and cooking supplies. The bathroom gets VERY wet when you shower as it sprays everywhere due to the shower screen not being wide enough, no basic hand soap available either so we had to buy our own. The bed in the spare room was broken upon arrival the slats had snapped off on one side but thankfully i was with my partner and not a friend so we slept in the main bedroom together. There was no hoover or broom available so it made keeping the flat clean very hard with two dogs (and people) bringing grass etc back in with us.

Location handy for train station and town centre. Also handy for sightseeing.

Often difficult to find parking close to flat. Explanation on how to use central heating would have been useful.

Location, suitable for anyone visiting Loch Lomond area. Free parking available outside. Lovely big window in the living room.

Despite having space to accommodate 4, it is not suitable for that. Even asking in advance, there were only 2 chairs available for a family of 4! Asked again after check-in but the host didn't solved the request. Kitchen not so well equipped, limited number of cutlery (ex: only 3 spoons for 4 people!). The oven was not clean and we couldn't turn on the kitchen extractor. The central heating should be better explained. Sofa bed was quite uncomfortable, even for 1 children. The double bed was not confy either (mattress too soft). Big house with few amenities (there were no shelves to use for personal items in the bathroom, no hairdryer, no extra blankets....).

The place was spacious. Dog friendly. Close to Loch lomond, shops and takeaways- perfect location. Had fitted wardrobes- that's good!

No mirror. Tiny one in bathroom (not ideal). Pots dirty- plates & cups. Sofas uncomfortable. No where to park outside at times.
