AMALIFE Beach Club & Hotel

We had a lovely time here. The rooms were really spacious and had a beautiful view of Cartagena. The beach was not crowded and the staff was attentive. The prices were fair and the food was delicious. The transport was easy to book as the hotel works directly with a boat crew. Just keep in mind that there is no dock on cartagena as well as on the island, so you board directly on the beach. The rooms are not located directly at the beach. They are a 5 minute walk up a small hill, which is not a problem. Just keep this in mind because of luggage.

The bed was really hard. On the beach, even if you sit inside the property of the hotel, you get kind of harassed by the massage ladies. Another situation that kind of rubbed us the wrong way was the boat ride back to cartagena after our stay. An employee of the hotel was also catching a ride back and when we boarded off at the beach, while we were carrying our luggage off the boat and kind of juggling everything, he made a really passive aggressive comment on how we should tip the captain and crew. We were already planninh on doing so, as they were really helpful, but the expectation and tone in which this was said kind of put us off. The crew got a tip, but like I said, the comment rubbed us the wrong way.

It’s a complete adventure! The natural surroundings and the city views are wonderful.

I think the service could be improved. On the first night, we experienced a tropical storm, and the staff did not come to the room to check the space. They also did not clean the jacuzzi, which was full of debris, or even change the bed after we told them it had gotten dirty.

De huisjes zijn erg leuk. Leuk zwembadje erbij die qua temperatuur ook heerlijk is om een avondje ini te hangen. Rondom het strand lekkere bedjes. In de avond leuk kampvuurtje. ideaal om tot rust te komen dichtbij de stad.

Het eten viel mij tegen. Vond de burgers wat droog en de pasta was echt enorm creamy... Ook is er echt niets te doen op dit eiland. Verwacht geen feestjes, supermarkt, tour etc. Harde bedden! Het bad bij de kamer is niet erg vol. Dus het maakt wat lawaai van de waterstromen.... wij hebben deze wat voller laten lopen (redelijke hoogte, net boven de waterspuit/stroom) maar werden wel gelijk aangesproken. Kraan werd direct dicht gedaan.

El jacuzzi excelente, muy grande, muy limpio.

La atención del lugar dejo mucho que desear, muy poco atentos en recepción, la comida se demora un poco en llegar es un poquito costosa y el aseo no estaba bien hecho, las cortinas estaban sucias. Camilo el gerente, muy buen tipo muy formal, si no hubiera sido por el, nos vamos sin desayunar.

Si me gustó, fue bastante tranquilo y lindo

Todo estuvo bien

Nada , desayuno con fruta dañada, no había opciones de bebida solo tinto por qué no tenían leche , ni agua había disponible

La habitación tenía los bombillos dañados , las toallas están sucias
