Place was very clean, and beautifully designed. The pool is amazing.

Very clean and modern hostel. Offers a big common area with a nice pool and ping pong table. Beds are comfortable and offer privacy. Breakfast consists of different fruits with oats, eggs or hoppers and is a welcomed variation to dhal curry. Service was good (information and scooter rental) but probably due to low occupancy at our time the reception time was limited.

No mosquito nets on the beds at our time being. There is an AC in the rooms though but even though we cooled down we had mosquitos in the room.

Easy, clean hostel stay with friendly staff

I had a fantastic stay at Drivethru Hostel, with a big thanks to Rusi, the manager. His excellent English really helped, especially his tips on moped rentals and surf lessons. He's clued up on all the local hotspots. The hostel is brilliant - not only does it have a swimming pool for those sunny days, but it's also sparkling clean, has 24-hour security, and offers loads of cool workspaces. Plus, it’s just a stone's throw from The Doctor's House, an awesome local bar, so you're never far from a good time. You've got yoga, a skatepark, and ultra-fast internet – perfect for both work and play. The place has such a welcoming vibe, and I met some great people there. All in all, Drivethru is the perfect spot if you're looking for a laid-back place to work, relax, and enjoy some surfing. Thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it!

The place was perfect for me. Staff were all very welcoming and friendly and my room was spotless. They’ve done a great job building the place and the skatepark next door. Lots of spaces to chill with friends or have some peace and quiet alone, was nice to be able to have a swim as well. Breakfast was really good, passion fruit jam blew my mind!

No complaints

Everything was brand new. And super clean. The manager was really nice and pushing social projects in the area. I can really recommend the place. There is a beautiful skatepark around the corner if you are interested in such things.

The place was nice and so was the operating manager Rusiru, he was a great guy and supportive. Rooms were also clean and tidy. There were additional games like table tennis.

Super nice new Hostel, so everything super clean and comfortable right now. Spacious dorm, private bed. Breakfast was amazing (porridge+fruit and also bread+veggies, could have both). I was alone due to the new opening, but looked like a nice place to hang out with people, great pool, table tennis, chill out areas. Also appreciated the possibility to do yoga and the intent to be more sustainable (separate waste and water dispenser, equally shared tips for the whole staff). Saw some turtle on the next closest beach.

Be aware it might still be lonely right now, so maybe ask beforehand or come with a group. I suppose though that season's gonna pick up in December.

Clean, pleasant, easygoing, away from the hustle and bustle but within an easy reach of it.
