Girraween Country Inn

Shelly and Doug were incredibly friendly and hospitable. We were late arriving and it was not an issue with them. The property backs onto the park and Doug was happy to guide us to the beginning of the track and point out what we could look out for. Food was locally sourced and delicious.

The food. Amazing choices for breakfast.

A classy home-comfort stay in the country. Beautiful surroundings, comfortable room, warm and welcoming hospitality and delicious food and wine. The chocolate brownies and other pastries laid on as a treat were superb. Plus it is 100% dog friendly. We even had our fur baby with us at Dinner.

That we couldn't stay longer...

The breakfast was exceptional, as was the venue itself as a cosy inn for a winter weekend.

$600 for what was basically a motel room with uncomfortable bed and sheets was disappointing as the price had us assume high quality accommodation.

Absolutely amazing

Comfy hotel with a great restaurant and really friendly staff.

Staff friendly and very helpful. Good quality bathroom towels, although tap water not suitable for drinking, plastic bottled water was provided. Warm fire in communal lounge area.

Plain, small noisy room directly off the main stairs and communal lounge area, small fridge in room placed up on timber cabinet directly next to bed which very noisily turned on and off all night, only one cheap bed lamp, hole in old bed linen, main view of shed and clothesline, power points difficult to access. All upstairs doors squeaked and close loudly. Overall, furnishings and decor in room shabby.

There was a laid back feeling about the place. Nothing too formal about it yet not casual. The breakfast was amazing. All the fresh fruit and pastry and other cooked things were delicious. It helped start the day of exploring the region.

The only thing was a lack of car space. As it was tourist season, the designated car parking was full, leaving some larger cars to be inventive in where they parked. It didn’t impact though.
