Moi Galle Fort by DBI

Breakfast was OK, but staff apparently not used to it (although our price did include it)

The room (very small & odd-shaped) was barely furnished: no bedside table, no table, no drying rack, no hangers...basically nowhere to hang your clothes, or dry your towel. I even had to ask for a bath mat, as it was very dangerous to venture into the tiled bedroom with wet feet from the shower (itself on top of the sink!)

We arrived at the location only to be told we were staying at 'sister hotel' due to facility issues. However we really liked the new location around the corner in the Galle Fort and had all the old world charms with comfortable rooms and bathrooms. The hotel had helpful host and is perfect location for exploring the Fort and the shops and restaurants. Breakfast was excellent.

Arriving and then being moved to another location - this should have been communicated.

The breakfast was good, even though the bread which was on the Menü wasn’t available during our stay. The location was good and the deco was pleasant. The bed was good.

The air con was noisy. It leaked onto the corridor outside which made walking on the tiles very dangerous. The rooms were dark, like cell and the only window facing out to an outside corridor and was covered with a blind, that didn’t work. It could be improved if there was a bit of love and tender care on the outside area, what with nice plants etc.and one could open the blinds during the day The room was not very clean.

Nice hotel, clean and welcoming staff. However the room that I booked was not the room I received. I mentioned this to the staff and the manager was very apologetic and offered me 10% off the room rate as well as to stay at a partner hotel out of town. However something to be aware of that the photos of the room may not be the room that you were assigned. I received a room with two twin beds pushed together and the room was in a dark hallway on the ground floor with windows only to where the public washroom was located. Also no soap or toilet paper were in the hotel room, it had to be requested.

- Room not matching photos or booking - No soap or toilet paper in room when checking in - would not have booked this hotel at this price if I knew the room I would have been assigned. It felt like a basement

MOI galle fort is a small nice B&B hotel located in the center of the fort. This place carries an arty fibe with many paintings and vibrent colours. Staff is nice and friendly. Breakfast is Good. Rooms are clean. Bathrooms are too small but clean.

Location, style, food.

Bathroom could use little renovation. Nice tiles tough.

The beds and mattresses were super comfortable! The AC was great and the staff were super friendly.

It was a little expensive and plugs next to the beds would be super handy!!
