Suburban Studios Rock Hill Northeast I-77

This place is a filthy disgusting dump! The room we were first assigned was infested with German cockroaches. They were crawling up the walls and all over the floor. The second room at least didn’t have that issue, but was still dirty. Lights didn’t work and bathroom fixtures were broken. The key cards kept failing so it was frustrating to get all the way to the room and then have to walk across the property to the front desk to get it re-programmed. The walkway outside the building door was slippery and dirty from someone spilling something, that went at least three days before being cleaned up. Outside smelled like cat pee from the local feral cats all over the property. The last day we were there they hosed down the stairwell with bleach to clean, however, while bleach temporarily masks the pee smell, cats are attracted to the smell of bleach and will be back.

First room given was never cleaned, second had roaches. The whole hotel also reeked.

Front desk was friendly and courteous. Even after we mentioned that we saw bed bugs, room smelled like cigarettes, he still offered to help. Helped us by offering a new room and if we needed a refund he wouldn’t have a problem speaking to an Expedia representative.
