I really struggle to find anything positive to say in all honesty after what was such an awful experience

Fleas! We found 3 fleas in the bed sheets - see video - which we brought to the attention of staff. At first they apologised and instigated a clean and change of all bed linen again and said they would speak to their manager. I would also point out we asked to speak to the staff quietly away from other guests as we really didn’t want to cause any embarrassment or issues for them despite our obvious distress at having experienced this. The next thing we know the Manager is at our door laughing, wagging his finger in our face and accusing us of having either made it up or planted the fleas there in the first place. We told them you could see in the video the insect hopping which is an obvious thing fleas do but he just dismissed this. If you watch the video you can clearly see it hops and then lands again at the side of the sheet. He insinuated we were doing this for compensation only! We paid c400 euros per night for this room and were so insulted and disgusted with his attitude that we actually declined the free shuttle bus return and the mornings breakfast (despite it being included in the price) as we wanted to make clear this was never about money and to make plain the fact that we do not go around planting fleas in hotels to get a few pounds off the price!! At checkout they said our minibar bill c35 euros would be free of charge but we declined this offer too and paid in full. I can honestly say we have never stayed in a place that so fundamentally lacked any basic standard of customer service or hygiene. The bed sheet also had what appeared to be a blood stain on it. Appearances can be very deceptive is all I can say as when you look below the surface and style of the place it just doesn’t pass muster.

Located close to the port so easy in/out. Relatively central to all parts of the island. Very nice staff who were helpful throughout. Accommodations were like new!

Stunning view, modern rooms which were fancy and very comfortable. The staff were extremely friendly and obliging.
