This is the only place we’ve stayed in Marathon, but I would bet it’s the best place in town to stay. The motel is well maintained, and the rooms are comfortable and very clean. Get a good night’s sleep, and grab a coffee and donut at Tim Horton’s next door.
Quiet with easy access to an early morning breakfast site on grounds.
USMy wife and I were on a 2500 mile motorcycle trip around the great lakes. This was stop number 2. Were left Grand Marais, MN and didn't want to go any further so stayed here. This place was a perfect place to stop on your travels. The Travelodge was clean and priced well. The beds were comfortable. We were checked in professionally. The only drawback, there is not much going on in town.
The place is good, but its price is higher than any other location, and I guess its located in small town and you don’t have much other options.
