"Nice place, minimal provisions, under construction"

8.0

Before I discuss what disappointed us, I’ll start with what we liked. The location and view were lovely, and the layout of the condo was spacious. They have you covered for making coffee or tea, whatever way you like. The beds were comfortable, too. Except for the sand often found everywhere on the beach, the place was clean, as well. They even had a library. The property was under construction, something which would have made me change my plans had I known. It was a trip for my elderly parents so my father could get one more visit to see the beach before leukemia takes him. Family came to visit and, due to the construction, there was no visitor parking. They had to park at another building’s visitor slot. Another issue was that one of the first things I had to do, as we were stocking the freezer, was repair the ice maker. The last occupants had left it on and it had filled and overflowed the ice basket into the floor of the freezer. I had to disassemble the shelf to clean that out and put the shutoff bar back on. After that, it worked great. There was so much ice, I just turned off the ice maker. For those which this doesn't bother, one last thing to know is they have minimal provisions. If you need it, bring it. There were 2 rolls of toilet paper, one for each bathroom, and hand soap. There was enough kitchen soaps but no laundry. None of the amenities like shampoo, conditioner, etc., found at any of the hotels around there, much less more upscale condos, are provided.
