Economy Inn Kingsville

It was late in the evening when we booked a room in this motel and we thought that it would be good enough for a short night. When we got there about 90 minutes later we regretted it immediately. The office looked unattractive and gave us a taste of what to expect. We don't mind old fashioned motels. This one though was not only a “left over” from the 70s with wooden paneling and a tiny bathroom but it also looked as if nothing had been done in there for 40 years. A part of the paneling had been painted however, it was dirty, the furniture chipped and stained and missing lamp shades, an outlet hanging half out of the wall and a musty smell didn't improve the terrible impression. The veneer was peeling off the bathroom door and the inside of the entrance door was unbelievably dirty. We stayed because the sheets looked clean and it was only a short night. Surely the first impulse was to get out again quickly! My husband used the shower and said it was alright. I rather went without. There were 2 small bars of soap and when we asked for shampoo we got another small bar of soap. Even though it was cheap we rather should have payed more and stayed somewhere else.

After one look, we did not stay at Economy Inn. I did have to pay for the first night reservation but, was allowed to cancel the second night. Please do not pay before you look. When we opened the door to the assigned room, I was reminded of those news clips that show where human trafficking persons are kept. I booked through Booking.com my first and last time. It is my opinion that a booking company should inspect an accommodation before a client is booked.

Very nice motel with the new management, improved room, renovated bathrooms, new queen & double beds & Affordable price. Also have rooms with the Kitchener's for family stay for longer time. Walking nearby restaurants.
