Hotel Linde 24h Self Check-in

I was in town for a week long business event and occupancy levels were high so I had to book into the Linde which is about a 15 minute walk from the train station. I was disappointed when I first checked in and got to my room as the hotel is very old looking but was spotlessly clean to be fair. The bed was comfortable but the pillows weren't great. The breakfast was quite good with a generous buffet and the restaurant food was excellent when I tried it a couple of times for dinner. The fillet steak was perfect with an excellent home made pepper sauce. While the hotel was a little far from our office it gave me the opportunity to walk 15 mins each way through the very quaint town of Baden. The price was high for the standard of the rooms but that is driven by a dynamic pricing system which saw sliding rates during my stay driven by occupancy in town I assume. There was construction across the street but it didn't bother me as I was up early each day but I think it would be an issue if you wanted to lie in late. I'd definitely stay again but I'm not sure it will be my first choice.

Pro s: cleanliness, location (right în the old town of Baden), fresh & good breakfast, good Internet conection, friendly staff Con's : small rooms, old furniture, old design, small & noisy elevator, big noise during nighttime produced by the traffic, awfull bedsheets and matrisses

Booked a couple of nights as everywhere else was full and found the hotel tired looking and a bit old fashioned but it was clean the staff were pleasant and it seemed they still have smoking rooms as it smelled like mine was one! Not a great experience when I'm away from home as I prefer a better standard of accommodation.
