"This is advertised as a resort but it's more of a hotel. Very small grounds with only 3 restaurants."

I am not the type to easily give commendation but I know when to give credit when credit is due. Our experience with Sheraton Mactan has been nothing short of amazing! I wanted to personally thank Renante Selgas ("Renz"), Robert Ibanez, and the whole Sheraton Mactan team for turning our stay around. While we encountered an initial issue, the swift and professional response truly exceeded our expectations. The team of Renz and Robert went above and beyond to make things right, demonstrating genuine care. They handled all my concerns with such grace and efficiency that it made our stay memorable. Renz and Robert listened, acted, and went the extra mile to ensure we were comfortable and even upgraded us to a Junior Suite accommodation and dinner for 3 pax for the entire duration of our stay. Renz even sent us a wine and cheese platter to our room just 5 minutes after dinner, which was a fantastic example of professional hospitality. When we went down for dinner earlier, the whole Sheraton Mactan team was very attentive to our needs, ensuring that napkins were placed on our laps, refreshments were offered, and all the food we wanted to eat was available. Special shoutout to the head water named Ramil for being extra gracious and attentive all throughout our stay. I even asked to take a picture with him because he was so warm and welcoming! It’s clear this team values customer experience above all else—we will definitely be back!!
