Kalua Motel

The room was well stocked with kitchen and bathroom supplies etc, shower was hot and had great pressure, good size tv, everthing was clean. I think ever was as good as could but was let down by the conctruction of the building which was not sound proof at all.

There was no blanket and we were freezing. We used the towels as blanket and had to turn the aircon onto heating mode to try and getwarn enough to sleep. We were there in May. Room 10 was very noisy, no one was making any undue noise but you heard every door open, i think maybe smokers went out side for smoking and you heard them going in and out, coughing, quietly chatting etc. I think it was well managed but only so much you can do with an old poorly constructed age building. But it was cheap so cant expect much.

Good spot - at least it was in the less scary part of Bundaberg.

Staff member was beyond rude. Knocked on our door to monitor how much perfume we were using, put us in a room with a seperate bathroom when we paid for an included one. Had to walk thru the literal cleaners closet to get there. And before that we were put in a room with a double bed for 3 people. Ridiculous. There were dead flies with their blood smooshed on the roof, the blind broke and fell to the floor the second we tried to touch it.

The room did not look like the photos they had posted. The bathroom was not in the room, but down the hall. We ended up cancelling & did not stay. The hotel was good at allowing this cancellation
