We have stayed at Surya twice on weekdays and had the place mostly to ourselves. We went to the Valle for some fine dining and to celebrate our anniversary. Surya staff are very accommodating, a nice pool area and the quality of service is quite nice for the price. We will be back!

This place was Beautiful can't wait to go back again. The manger and the staff were fantastic. Also if you stay 2 nights the third night free until the end of may

This review is for the vineyard suite: Honorable mention to the staff, the dynamic duo: Josue & Paulina who made our stay exceptional—went above and beyond. The food, wine, hospitality, & the service were just amazing. Special mention to Alex, the winemaker(s), security, groundskeepers & the cleaning staff for always making sure everything was taken cared of, ensuring the hot tub was a perfect temperature (pls. request 4 hours before use), wonderful wine tasting by the fire pit (from their own vineyards) & our immaculately cleaned room. Our experience in Baja Mexico was more special because of the staff. The wine, the food just delicious and without even leaving the hotel. The grounds are well kept, rooms clean. The only gripe I have is the hotel is next to the road which means noise because of traffic and the rooms are unfortunately not sound proofed.But heating & air conditioning & hot water pressure is great. Improvements: activities (vineyard tour, tennis or paddle court, bikes for exploring the vineyard the valley, room soundproofing, refrigerator & coffee makers (advertised in Expedia but lacking/unheard of). We felt very safe here. The property is well guarded. Will definitely return!

The property is nice, room was clean. There is restaurant. Located right off the highway which is nice compared to some of the other locations that are on terrible dirt roads. Property is family owed and looks like the owner lives onsite.

The property is off the highway, a paved road, and parking is needed. You park in the sandy dirt that tracks dirt and sand into your car and room because the room we stayed in was right in front of the parking area. We checked in on Valentine's Day. There was no hand soap in the container of the restroom and we ended up using a bar soap that was provided. About an hour after we check in we asked where the restaurant was and a younger looking girl working the front desk asked what did we want and we said we want to go to the restaurant and the young girl responds with tell me what you want because we are closing the restaurant, which happened to be at 7pm. We said we only want a drink and she said yes like what and I said I'm not sure that's why I want to go to the restaurant. We asked why is it closing so early and she stated we did not get any reservations for tonight "as in for Valentine's", so we are closing it early. So I say ok could you tell us where the restaurant is and the young girl responded back with an attitude that she is pulling up the drink menu and that she already asked me what we wanted. I was surprised by her response and decided I didn't want to buy a drink there after all. We ate breakfast at the restaurant and the food was ok. Not the best but the price is decent. I would stay there again but it won't be my first option. The young adults they have working may be the owners children and I feel customer service is lacking. We observed a woman at the front desk waiting around to speak to someone because both of the young adults left the front desk unattended for a while during check in. During check out time which is by 11am there was no one at the front desk and the young man who was serving in the restaurant seemed to be the same person assigned to checking people out of the hotel. It's a nice property to stay at but the service needs to improve.

The Tempranillo is superb at this winery. The main reason I go here. Staff is super nice also.

Hot water runs out when many guests are using at the same time. We waited and staff let us stay as long into the next day as we wanted, Shower quickly became hot again.

All was good except the part where it takes a while for the hot tub to be ready. If you wan to use it the same day you get there make sure you call in before checking in so they start prepping it

The staff was friendly and the food in the little restaurant on sight was fabulous.

The hotel felt a bit like a ghost town. Granted the Valley was pretty quiet overall, but despite the hotel apparently being pretty booked out, we were the only guests in most places most of the time. They could do more to make the place lively. The pool area is super cute and with some nice music, and more attention to the set-up it could be a great hang out area that would attract more people to stick around.
